When I was an equipment operator for the test, we just had to use three points of contract climb three rungs and get onto the platform to get onto the stairs to get onto the truck. Truck drivers tend to get heavy so eventually they did away with that and put $8, 000 hydraulic stairs on them that aren't going to be effective when you need to get off that truck because it's on fire

Did one for UP a month ago. Take 200 beats a minute minus your age. This is your heart rate limit cross it your done. 5 min. 1st min both hands 2nd right only 3rd both 4th left only 5th both it was tough 2 of 6 passed

What's funny is how much anxiety I had about doing a 4 minute ladder hang at the REDI and now after riding a few 2+ mile shoves in the rain and the snow the REDI ladder hang isn't nothing lol But I aint gonna lie.., I do chicken wing it.

Dang CSX ladder hang test looks more intense than CN's one lol. we just had to hang on for 5 mins off of a boxcar. no one hand or lanterns..

Absolutely stupid practice. Nobody is ever gonna hang like that while giving signals. One arm will be through the rung or over the side of a gon. Corporate America.
