Damn, the part where he placed Olivia's vocals and Paramore's guitar together was SO good

Good 4 u is one of the most successful singles in years. If a song makes that much money and they give writing credits to someone else without a legal battle then it's obvious the opposite party has more than a legal leg. Olivia's team probably wanted to avoid getting sued.

I think the inherent problem with this is that there is definitely a finite amount of good sounding melodies. We're gonna get to a point very soon where every single new song will sound like SOMETHING made in the past, intentional or not.

My music teacher once told me that ‘the song writing industry is just stealing and copying each others songs but making it slightly different every time, like Telephone’ and I don’t think I’ve ever agreed with anything more

Fun fact: Ariana made 10 million from 7rings in 2019, but she had to give 9 million to disney

Thing about that juice wrld thing though, is that he straight up ripped that guitar part. Sampling is fine, I'm not dogging on sampling, but you gotta get permission for that.

“They don’t even sound alike” literally the first thing I said was “omg this sounds so much like paramore” which isn’t a bad thing at all I love it. But credit where credit is due

Misery business is an absolute historical masterpiece, there’s no way that was an accident xD everyone recognised that immediately hahahha

Sometimes I do believe it's done accidentally. I mean there are only so many cords, notes & sounds and it would be easy to create a song that has an unintentional similarity. There are often times I just don't hear it regardless of how hard I try, whenever I hear of a lawsuit. Other times it's so blatantly obvious that I can't believe someone tried to get away with it. Sometimes I think if there's enough differences, which does happen, the benefit of the doubt should be given that it's not a copy.

The first time "Good for u" came on the radio, I honestly said, "is this a new Paramore song? I didn't realize they were back together" after just the first few notes. I don't know how anyone who has ever heard Paramore not know this sounds exactly like Misery Business.

There is an entire Tik Tok trend where millennials hear Good 4 U and get to the "like a damn sociopath" and suddenly turn in to their 2000s emo selves rocking out to Paramore. It's more than sampling.

Look up the four chords song. They mix together flawlessly

If she did it on purpose, then the fact that she matched her vocals with the guitar is pretty dope👌

it wasn’t juice wrld a fault with lucid dreams, it was nick mira who produced it. Sting said he was a fan and loved it, but when juice wrlds song got more streams than stings his label sued. Sting said he would rather it not be that way but both were on good terms and sting said he was thankful because it would put all his grandkids through college and juice wrld didn’t care too much

EDIT: Nick Mira live streamed it on twitch and theres videos of him on youtube making it live, He didnt intend to "steal it" he made his own take on it by ear and re produced the melody in fl studio without even sampling.
