I mean sampling is huge with having to clear them and all that, but this situation is the most common. My thing is, nothing at the end of the day is original lol. I mean we go way back to Bach and Beethoven, and many artists have used the same chord structure or melodic structure as them. This will continue to be a thing for a while :/

I truly felt bad for Olivia. She truly worked hard to write her own song which is inspired by her favorite songs and she keeps getting lawsuits over and over even if liv’s song wasn’t even near to the other song. Olivia deserved a lot of success. We love her💜

Taylor Swift was never going to sue and Olivia honestly if you hear a song a lot (and Olivia was a swiftie) the beat gets stuck in your head and Olivia probably just accidentally used it. Olivia gave the song credits to Taylor because she was a swiftie since she was a child and loves Taylor also Taylor never pointed anything out with Olivia’s song. If you hate on Olivia for that reason then your not a swiftie because a swiftie would enjoy Taylor for her songs, for her wholesome sweet attitude, and would not go and hate on Olivia or her ex’s or her enemies.
