Nightlife in Kyiv has not come to a complete standstill; despite the war, some festive establishments chose to remain open and close before curfew. However, some users on social media are sharing a viral video that shows nightlife in the Ukrainian capital before the war began. We tell you more in this edition of Truth or Fake.

Men are fighting for free Ukraine, for every centimeter of their territory, dying out there and most women care about maintaing their fancy lifestyle while other men instead of contribution thery're having fun
It's my personal opinion.... bombing didn't stop, so many people died recently because of the rocket explosion, nuclear threat is still out there with russians occupying Zaprose
Mindset of these people makes me feel bad about of the real heroes there

I live in Kyiv and can give some insight. The curfew is a good thing, it reminds everyone to stay alert and sober enough to be ready and that the war is not over. Also most Russian missile and drone attacks happen at night. While 99.9% of places close by 10pm, there were a few places that were breaking rules by having late night parties using side entrances, or even worse, entrances through residential apartment buildings. It was unfair to those who needed to wake up early to volunteer, train, or go to work. Thankfully, there was a huge crackdown recently and those have been shut down.

None of those were funded by donations, however, most some of these late night parties tried to seem altruistic by calling it a charity event, or donating a portion of the proceeds to the military. However, most of those places have donated less than $1 per person attending. Yes people need a way to relax, even during war, but that's why day parties have gotten popular, and having a few drinks between 8pm-10pm is perfect. I'm glad that the bars and parties who secretly sprung up in residential apartment buildings, disturbing people trying to sleep needed to be shut down, I've seen it personally.

So what? Even in WWII people frequented bars and brothels and lived each day as if it might be their last. Life is short...no problem with that.
