Wow! Former resident….I can no longer afford to return…I agree with everything Rep. Chang is saying, hope to see more of this dialogue in Hawaii! So glad he had the opportunity to share the republican policies. No matter which way you vote, critical thinking is so important! Vote on facts, not feelings.

He is spot on. Democrats spend alot of money on services that are not needed which means bigger government controls (regulations). That money has to come from somewhere and that is in the form of taxes. Republicans are more deregulation with less government and fiscal budgeting. Think about it this way, if your household does not have money to spend on an item, do you put it on your credit card or do you wait till you have enough money saved till you buy it. Democrats been using the Credit Card all this time and continue to pay interest.

Don’t give up! I’ve recently began voting Republican and it’s an uphill battle, it’s depressing. I fully agree that the Hawaii GOP needs to be louder and get out there to reach the people. Voters are definitely not aware of Republican views and that needs to change.

Yes we need freedom of choice to have a effective system. It's your right to choose who or what party you vote for. I voted Republican to help the cause. But beyond that I am a American and a Human Being, a Hawaii guy.!
