TWO Pleasantviews - how to clone neighborhoods | Sims 2 Tutorial

Want to have two Pleasantviews/Strangetowns/whatevers in your game? No problem!

I did that to copy my Pleasantview and make a group picture of all of them without the risk of corrupting the neighborhood. Having 80 people in one family and trying to arrange them somehow took me 2 hours but the effect was worth it xD

TS2 works just fine for me on Windows 10, I feel like people who can't get their game to work are just unlucky.

When you get 500 internal error on sim file share, just go to previous page and re dowload it. Works for me

5:36 when you rename a neighborhood folder, the game can't read those files anymore because it only recognizes the files from the original neighborhood; so you have to copy and paste the "thumbnails" and "storytelling" folders from the renamed neighborhood back into the EA Games folder

If you don't want to install the renamer and would prefer to do it monotonously, you can press F2 to rename a file without having to right-click, rename etc. I did it this way and it took about 20 minutes but as someone who has very little space to download things it was the better option.

I use an old Windows 7 desktop for my Sims 2! You are the first person I have seen who also uses the old Windows to make the game work!

I once tried this without a tutorial with Strangetown and did everything right, except the mass rename. At least I fixed that! And I'm glad I did cuz Strangetown disappeared completely while in limbo

I think I Know why copied neighborhoods doesn't have description. It might be hard to understand, but here we go:
F.e. You created your own neighborhood - Nowe Pobrzeże, so if you would try to start new one you couldn't name it Nowe Pobrzeże 'cuz you already has neighborhood like this.
Let' s Say your cloning Strangetown. One is N002 and 2nd is N031 as you did.
It's impossible for the game to have two neighborhoods named the same. Game knows Strangetown (N002) already has description so when you're in Strangetown (N031) game thinks it has description 'cuz Strangetown (N002) does.
I guess I also Know how to get desctiopion in Strangetown N031.
After Advanced Renaming put Strangetown 2.0 and take Strangetown 1.0 out. Lauch the game. Change name from Strangetown to Strangetown 2.0 (or something else). Open the neighborhood. Exit the game. Put Strangetown 1.0 to game. And it should work ;)
