Early Pleasantview | Pleasantview Set 10 Years Earlier! | Sims 2 Custom Neighbourhood Overview

Hi everyone! Today we are back with another Sims 2 Neighbourhood Overview! This time we're taking a look at Early Pleasantview by Gutosimmer! This is a hood based on the original Maxis hood, but set 10 years in the past for that nostalgic '90s vibe! This hood includes some favourites from The Sims 1 and The Sims 3, with new playable families, townies and NPCs!

The hood comes complete with relationships, bios, LTWs and drama already in place just waiting for the player to explore! All the residential lots have been given a makeover, and a new cemetery has been added into the hood. There is a recommended play order for the hood, not to mention 4 variations ready to download (a maxis or alt version mainhood, and a maxis or alt version subhood). It's not entirely CC-free, as there are a few mods required to play the hood the way the creator intended, but these are all linked on the download post.

This is probably one of my favourite custom hoods that I've ever looked at, so I highly recommend checking it out if you're a fan of the original Pleasantview!

This is what Sims 4 should have been, lore-wise... All of that lost potential, I swear. What an amazingly in depth custom neighborhood, I'm nearly in tears.

For some reason, the Lothario-Caliente reminds me of the Sims 4 one, except it's Flamenco instead of Katrina/Nighat.
Actually, it would've been closer to Sims 4 if it was Nighat instead of Flamenco.
By the way, including Kaylynn's entire family from the Sims 3 is one of the best thing here.
I hope they make a future Pleasantview that follows closely the Beacon bay thing from Sims 3.

Brandi's new bio makes so much sense to me, because in my Pleasantview, Brandi's pre-destined hobby is Arts & Crafts and I have her perfect her sewing skill so she can help the household's financial situation!

One of my favorite hoods along with their early strangetown!! I decided to bring nighat back to life in my game and give her the time she deserves with Nina and Dina, also Joe T newbie is the tutorial sim from the sims 2 tutorial and has similar ancestors to Brandi

After seeing your video, I downloaded the hood and I love it! It’s so good and the lore is just perfect. There are also more twists in relationships which are so fun to discover. I play with a wants-based system and still I’ve had the exact same things happen: i.e, Bella being abducted, Cornelia dying in a house fire. I had one twist which was Darren dying in a fire instead of Darleen! It’s so good. Can’t recommend it enough so thank you for the video!

Oh this is awesome, what a great hood! Although maybe it's my hormones but it is bittersweet seeing all the families happily together before all the deaths/Bella abduction

I thought Nina and Dina were supposed to come to Pleasantview "recently" in the original version, so I expected they won't be included in this neighbourhood - over 10 years doesn't sound "recent" hmmm

Wow, so much effort has been put into this with all the bios etc!! Amazing, I love the little pieces of lore and extra info players add in to fill any gaps or to make things make a bit more sense! Skip being a professional swimmer is amazing 😅 I do miss this game, so I really enjoy your videos on sims 2 🥰💖

It hasn't escaped my notice that Cassandra is a teenager and Mary Sue is an adult in this hood. Part of me wonders... has Mary Sue babysat Cassandra when the former was a teen and the latter was a child?
