AP Chemistry Acid Base Equilibrium: Calculating pH and Percent Ionization of Weak Acids and Bases

Показать описание
This video is a long one so buckle up! Why so long you may ask? The only way to wrap your head around the concept of percent ionization is to walk through a lot of examples. This video starts with a reminder that an equilibrium constant is only influenced by changes in temperature. Then the examples start with a RICE table and calculating pH and percent ionization when given the molarity of a weak acid and a pKa value. These are the examples that you wish your AP chemistry teacher had done for you as I walk you through all the calculations step by step. Two weak acid and two weak base examples are explained in detail to help you visualize the process. I even provided a practice problem at the end for you to attempt on your own.
