I’ve noticed that since becoming financially free, I drive more leisurely and patiently, enjoying the ride, and meanwhile everyone around me is going nuts and zooming past me because they on the rat race/hamster wheel and I’ve jumped off. It’s like I’m living in a different world.

I think patience has never been a bigger virtue in our fast-paced world of instant gratification. Patience with ourselves. Patience with the process. Whether you do or you don't, time passes and that patience in your 20s and 30's can have a transformative effect on your life in your 40's and beyond. Now if I would have just taken that advice in my 20s and early 30s (haha). Now it's time to be patient in my late 30s and 40's to have more flexibility and freedom in my 50s and 60s. Thank you for the video!

I can’t imagine a life having an attitude like that to time and work. I buy sliced cheese in the grocery store because of the time value loss of having to slice it myself. I hope I get to experience that time freedom someday.

This is pretty much what I did. I "FIRE'd" in January and now I get to work on what I *want* to work on which nowadays is mostly my YouTube channel :)

Definitely my reason for starting my real estate investing journey. I always tell people I’m doing it to get my time back.

I have been a busy professional and family man since I was 18. I'm looking forward to hanging up my hat next year at age 55. It is my intention to spend more time doing the things that I enjoy and just relax. My concern is that from watching many video and reading articles that I won't be able to move down the gears and switch off.
Do you have any advice? Do you know many people who have just put their feet up or do most people end up working again, either for financial gain or for free?
