Derivative of sin(x^2), sin^2(x), and sin(2x) with Chain Rule | Calculus 1 Exercises

We find the derivative of sinx^2 with the chain rule, sin^2x with the chain rule, and sin2x also with the chain rule. Just for kicks, we also differentiate sin^2lnx at the end. #apcalculus #calculus1

Thank you, it was so hard to find someone who explained sin^2(x). and what rule to apply, how and why. There is something just strange about this format and how its actually done. Contrasting it against similar examples really hits the ball out the park.

Excellent explanation. Your video is very easy to understand an otherwise confusing problem.

This video is really great at explaining this. I really needed this refresher since I just started calculus 2. Thanks a lot!

Okay so I've understood everything else but how for (sin^2)x it is sin^2 that is the inside function not x

can you simplify the last one to sin(2lnx)/x ?

what about (sinx)^2 😅 it always confusing my mind. Is it same with "sin^2(x)" ? 🤔

Does the chain rule also apply to d/dx sin(x)? i.e., d/dx sin(x) = cos(x)(1) = cos(x)

What will the double derivative of sin^2(x) be?
