Thank you for this video. Before watching it, I had always been speaking my words upside down.

Surprised and delighted he mentioned two philosophers in one lecture: St. Augustine and Wittgenstein. Would love to hear him speak more about other philosophers

whenever i feel like i am not really being very articulate even at the minute level whether i am writing or thinking in my head, listening to Dr. Peterson's lectures or his speeches or just him talking unlocks the part of my brain where all sort of words that i know of, resides.
Thank you, Dr. Peterson. I shall see you again. :)

I would like to add that this is very useful knowledge to spot and/or disarm a psychopath from hunting you/others down (or reduce the probability of doing so) without needing to raise a physical weapon.

I always try to define my individual goals at hand as yes or no questions whether a specific condition is net. They must be very narrow and non-abstract that a fool or a child could verify it.
For example: instead of asking whether a web page looks good and is easy to navigate (which is highly subjective and turns you into a people pleaser), ask whether the majority of people the web page would be visited by can adequately navigate the page and find the information they look for without relying on outside support. Yes or no. No maybe answer (unless you're doing a statistical survey and have enough participants that know what they actually want and came for, lol).
If the answer is yes, you're done. Move on. If anyone then questions your reasoning or thinks you're doing harm, just tell them what your goals and conditions of completion were and they figure it out. If they were just trying to put doubt in your mind or manipulate you, they'll instantly give up. You're too honest and transparent, and they can't bend or twist your words, because you don't need to tell them words if you've made your goals clear in advance.

The best way to understand words and their possible misrepresentation is to watch Peter Seller's performance in the Film Being There. Words for sure.

Huh, kinda funny...

I start looking up "satisficing" since I hadn't heard of it before. Naturally, I add a ton of videos to the queue because I want a perfect understanding. But after the first video, I just close the tab since I seem to have a sufficient understanding. And then I realize that I had just practiced satisficing 😂

So, just because we are emotional and irrational beings..we mostly don't operate in order to attain satisfising results And rather chase goals that feels right.. Correct?
