Scott, this is one of a heck of a break down of the project. So cool to hear all of your thoughts on the filming, editing, connection the trail, transitions shots etc and the sound design. Looking forward the the next DEEP DIVE.
And by the way, our Timelines looks pretty familiar. Clean and structured. "Ordning muss sein" as the say in Germany :-)
Thanks for sharing, dude!

Masterclass level Scott. Thank you SO much. I got a lot out of this, was planning on having it on in the background as I made breakfast and ended up grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting down to watch the whole thing. Many useful nuggets of info. Im very new to all of this, so my biggest takeaways from this and some of your other behind the scenes is how much you are totally chill and ok with going out a whole day and not getting what you intended. I know you spent all day(s) on that cable cam shot, and then totally being 100% ok with not using it in the final. I would get into a ‘sunk cost fallacy’ mindset, where its like. “I’m using this no matter what damnit!”, so I’m inspired by your patience and confidence in seeing everything as a learning oppurtunity. Thanks Scott, Inspired in California. :-)
