Man all the feels. The first girl I ever fell in love with was right around the time this was out. It always makes me think of her when I hear this. We were both young and deeply in love. Her parents didn't want her dating until she was 17 and forced us apart after sneaking around for 6 months. It broke my heart and hers. It was the first girl I shed tears to. Such is youth though playing with such a powerful emotion knowing the risks. I'm happily married now, but I do miss my youth and how deeply you could love someone without the responsibilities of life and being an adult to temper things. If you're out there somewhere Becca, I hope you are happy and healthy. I wouldn't change anything and cherish those memories still.

As goofy as it sounds in 2000 I was dating the girl of my dreams (high school crush). She wrote me a letter asking me to listen to this song back then. After 19 years since I last saw her I find that letter and later find out she passed away, I never got to say goodbye. Not a day has gone by I haven't thought about her.
