I don't know if I love this, honestly. RDJ playing a villain in something sounds awesome, but as Doom? Is one of the biggest Marvel villains now just a variant of Tony? Or does he happen to just look like him? Either way, it's just kind of odd.

So far, I love this.

Yes, it likely means that Victor Von Doom once again, will not be done accurately on screen,
But it allows for the multiverse to have stakes.

This isn’t an Iron Man variant,
But a Tony Stark who went bad.

We had a whole saga about the sacrifice of Tony Stark, the face of the MCU.

Now we and the characters have to set aside the love for said face,
And see it as something entirely different,
Which is a massive risk.

It isn’t undoing anything or disrespecting a legacy, As it’s a new character.

Moreover, this isn’t the Marvel Universe,
It’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
From beginning to end,
It’s meant to tell a story.
And for it to work, instead of constantly branching off until there’s too many things to keep track of,
This is a great move to start bringing things full circle again.

Dr Doom is my all time favourite villain. I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand its interesting to a Tony Stark/Dr Doom variant from the multiverse. On the other I want an official version of him for the canon timeline. I thank God they did not gender swap the character.

Marvel's mission is to show RDJ as a hatred villain that's why the iron man character was created in the beginning. But the craze of RDJ turned iron man as a villain mindset into iron man as a super hero mindset amoung audience. Not sure about Dr. Doom's character I think he could become the ultimate super hero in the secret war😅
