As noisy and annoying as they are, they're still quite unique insects, as some of them develop underground in the nymph stage for 13 or 17 YEARS before they emerge en masse. Those 17 years underground makes them one of the longest-living insects out there, behind termite queens who can live for up to FIFTY years (though some believe they could live up to a century!) and queen ants that can live for thirty.

I was getting worried the vlog was going again, so glad that's not the case. Another perfect vlog to entertain me on Monday! I hope the vlogs just keep coming from here on out on because they're so awesome. Y'all are an amazing, beautiful couple on the inside and out and your kiddos are super adorable when they play together. I love the way Luke is talking more so much compared to older vlogs. Nick and Nate looked so excited about the ocean. I'm so happy that they loved it. I've recently started my first year of college and the vlogs are a form of escapism from that.
