F150 Valve Cover Replacement

So I was doing a tune up on my f150 and snapped a spark coil bolt. I yelled at my truck and then accpeted the reality that I needed a new valve cover. Hope you enjoy.

The fact that they put a plastic valve cover there. I replaced mine with a metal cover oem from ford.

Easy enough just time consuming, will still save much doing yourself. Honestly alot of shops are so far booked out for this work anyway.

Have a 2013 f150 3.5 ecoboost. Valve cover keeps burning on passenger side. What is causing this? Cover looks fine from inside so it can’t be the valves.. I’m just confused. I replaced the burnt valve cover with a brand new one and same burn. Same spot. Weird. The water coolant line that runs beside it gets really hot but I don’t think it’s causing this burn.. are coolant lines supposed to get hot to touch? Thank you

How did you get your dip stick to measure properly after swapping yhe valve covers? I bought a 13th gen dip stick since i sued the 13th gen valve covers but its too long. I also tried using the original dip stick but its too short i think to meausrr the oil level properly.

Hey there, I’m working on the drivers side valve cover, mine are so disintegrated I can’t tell what is a stud or bolt.... do you know how many studs are needed for the drivers side?

Ford should have used stainless steel bolts to hold down the spark plug ignition coils! Very poor design that results in high cost just to change the spark plugs!

hey question for you. I have a leak on rear of the right side which I'm thinking is valve cover, it's leaking all the way down. one shop told me it was cylinder head gasket leaking oil but I just can't buy that. I can feel around on the back of it and feel oil which seems like it's up top by the valve cover. I replaced a vacuum pump on my old ecoboost which was in this same location, not sure if the 5.0 has one there as well. Anyway, was yours leaking in the same area?

Can I swap out the lower passenger and driver side bolts on my valve cover by simply backing them out and putting in a new 1 by 1?
They look horrible and I would like to swap them before it is too late.

Thabks for your video i got a doubt when you remove the covers there is a gasket rubeer seal under the conver do you need to add silicone or similar to put it back.... it doesnt see in the video

Do the spark plug tube seals have to be removed from the back side of the valve cover or the front? Thanks
