Saving for future reference! I also recommend compression socks and making sure you stand up every hour or two to stretch and walk around, even if all you do is walk to the bathroom.

Some airlines do not allow the usage of that foot hammock as the table isnt designed to support that extra weight and it’s annoying for the passenger in front when you move while using it.

Those foot hammocks are horrendous for the person sitting in front of you. Had a trip where the lady used one of these and it kept moving my seat. Most uncomfortable flight ever. Don't be that person.

Pro tip, put your smaller bag under the seat in front of you under your feet as a footrest if you're short. It doesn't jostle anyone and that's where they usually have you stow them in my experience anyways.

That foot hammock is a bane of the person in fronts existence. You are rocking that person continuously when you move your legs. I was on the receiving end of this hammock for a 12 hour flight. I couldn’t sleep cause of it. I asked the person to please not use it and luckily they were kind and stopped but it could have gone another way too. Please don’t purchase this!!

The foot rest is a mistake. It weighs down the tray, making it unusable after a while. Not to mention, the person sitting in that seat can feel it

The leg rests or foot hammocks are inconsiderate to the person in front of you. It pulls and jolts their seat. I speak from experience

The use of foot hammock is not allowed in Korea Air or Asiana.

The fact that you had a free seat next to you is already a jackpot tbh 😭🤣

My mom taught me to use slippers and rest my feet on top of my backpack when its stored under the seat in front of me, it makes a difference and I use the same slippers in my trip

Please check with your carrier first if you can use the foot hammock. Some airlines won’t allow them as they can break the seat mechanism. Those arms connected to the tray tables are designed for a meal tray or a laptop, not the weight of your legs.

😂 That foot hammock made me laugh! Many already commented how annoying they can be for the person in front. But also, if you are a tall person like I am, you are just grateful if you can find space for your legs, no way that hammock would work for me on a regular economy flight 😅

Well, in my case the silicon cushion was the worst, gave me terrible back pain and spent the following 2 days of the trip with a constant reminder every time I walked or moved. And to make sure it was the cushion, I used it back in home around 4 more times in the span of 6 months and same result every time: If I use it for more than 3 hours... hello back pain, so in my opinion, if you buy it, make sure to use it at home before your flight to make sure you're Ok with it.

As someone who's done UK to NZ several times: neck pillow and seat pad are lifesavers. I can't sleep on planes, but they allow some rest.

I love my cheap inflatable neck pillow. I've learned to blow the right amount of air to make it comfotable and when I'm finished it fits into my pocket. Yeah, I tried those foam ones and hated it! Horses for couses. One funny item I took with me in my last long flight was one of those wooden foot massagers that have rolling cylinders with different kinds of nobly patterns. It encouraged me to move my feet and it was small and flat enough to fit even under the seat in front - putting my feet on top of a backpack, which is under the chair in front is impossible and it makes the leg space even MORE cramped!
Apart from the inflatable neck pillow, I try to wear compress socks and a couple of hoodies of different thickness. I can mould the hoodie I'm not using into the shape where I need extra support. I also bring an S hook: I hang a small plastic bag from the net pocket to use as a bin for all the snack wrappers. Another bag (two hooks) extends the storage space and prevents small items falling down to the floor by having that extra storage without holes. Thus I rarely need an access to my carry-on except at the beginning and at the end of my journey.

The best, I guess, would be compression stockings, noise cancellation earphones, a neck support pillow (not that kind), and a back support with that seat pillow. Great.

If you get leg pain, compression socks are a lifesaver!

Thank you much!!!! I hurt may back last year and sitting on planes has never been the same that gel cushion will save my life!

I love this, I feel nowadays every airplane video is just showing off how they travel in the most expensive seats, instead of ideas of how to make more manageable long trips on Economy.
