This feels like a Nintendo Gameboy, but for adults in a modern time. the Anbernic RG35XX is installed with hundreds of games and runs like a champ. It’s an amazing little machine. I’m no expert, but I love it, and it’s perfect for emulating my preferred games and systems like ZX Spectrum, NES, Atari 2600 and MAME. I’ve got 2 cards with 2 different operating systems, stock and Garlic, and one of these days I’ll try Batocera as well.

I have the rg353vs. Basically this but with sticks and i believe the specs are better. I love the thing. Got the color thats like the original gb, and even got a skin on etsy.

I have never been a huge fan of emulation. Just prefer real hardware. I can notice all the inconsistencies. But on this little thing, i dont mind the emulation. For one, the systems i play have come far enough with emulation to where it is tolerable. And secondly, being able to play something like a gameboy again with a good screen is just such a blessing.

For yrs i tried to get back into gameboy but my hands cannot do the sp, i dont have a ds any more, and i lost our old lights. Modern lights for the screens are worthless junk. So this thing was godsent. Now i got my whole gb/c/a library at my disposal again. Better than ever before. Sometimes the audio can bother me but whatever. I love being able to play basically an updated gameboy.

The only other emulator i tolerate is the snes mini. And thats just because snes is my all time favorite system, and i love having a snes pad and having to flick that reset lever. Love the wallpaper that looks like a crt with a good stereo systen. So that really says a lot that ive finally found another emulator i love. These anbernics arent full of the passion and design that the snes mini had, yet they are still great.

Im looking to buy one of these but all of the ones i see online come with garlic os preinstalled. Are those still legit to buy or is it weird that garlic os is already on there? Ive never done emulation before so idk but it was my understanding that u have to buy it stock and then put garlic os on there urself. Are these real ones that im seeing with the garlic os preinstalled? Should i get one or get a stock one?

The rg35xx has a D pad issue and is the main deterance from me owning it got my rg351v and its good along with both the miyoo mini v2 and mini plus the one thing I'd like is the hdmi out would be cool playing cool spot on my TV would be sweet
