Thank you for your hard work and dedication to teaching the world how to paint in oils. Your work is positively amazing. I really appreciated your encouraging words in this video, "It is just a case really of being patient and realizing that it is going to take time. Any photo realistic work does take time. So as long as you are patient and you understand that, then you should be just fine. But, if you need to, take a break of a few hours away from it or a few days or whatever you need, and then come back to it. There is no rush." I've not been painting for a few weeks now because I feel my patience has run out for it. There is always so little time for me to paint to begin with, but your words have provided great encouragement to try again. I can't thank you enough. Hope to see you soon at your school.

Finally, I have found another painter, who paints in my style, who actually “thinks“ about what he’s doing.

Sure, anyone can paint and entire painting in half an hour, wet on wet, but where’s the fun in that? I thrive on detail, color value and lighting change.

The 3D look of the foreground tree is terrific! It’s great to see you do a larger painting. I got two Rosemary brushes this morning. A fan brush and a comber. I feel I’ve learned a lot in such a short time from watching your videos. I was going to start painting only in Acrylics because of how long it can take for oils to dry, and although I used to paint using the same Alkyd oil paints you use, I was using them too thickly. Now, after watching you use them, I’m going to get them again and, with the help of your videos and the use of Liquin, I’ll be using the Acrylics for under painting. Thank you for the encouragement and your generosity in teaching us.
