i love the design, and the heat treatment is excellent. so the 8Cr on this blade is fine. Micarta would be nice though...
have you tried to loosen the pivot screw ? seems my two models have concrete thread locker in there, can't get them loose.

These knives are old stock. Ganzo definitely is now marketing under the Firebird name. I bought my 1st G6803 in mid 2021.

The Ganzo FH924 is a new model that just dropped mine will be here Wednesday. Check it out. Ganzo is really underrated I tested there D2 recently and it did better then Kubeys D2 and Petrified Fish K110 with edge retention. Great value

So disappointed that Ganzo/Firebird has gone back to a "G" knife in 8CR after a great series of D2 knives with a recent rendition that even had a wire pocket clip. They were so synonymous with 440C and then D2, but in 2023, 8CR is so "last century"! What they should have done instead would be to put Micarta on any or all of their older knives. Even Micarta replacement scales would've been be a hit. Firebirds are great knives for the money. Always have been (if you search).
