I do appreciate your honesty in the reviews. So many are just trying to sell things on YouTube that it is sometimes hard to know who to trust. But you always keep it real.

I’ve got about 30-40 Ganzo knives, love them all, except 1. My FH21 was a brilliant knife when it came out, and was great until I tried to take it apart. The pivot screw would never break loose for me, and I tried every trick in the book, going as far as boiling it to break down the thread lock. It did not and I gave up, put it back in the box, and bought another. Thankfully I’ve moved on from my Ganzo phase, but thanks for all the videos and info, I’ve felt the pivot pain with you.

I have a collection of Ganzos, most of them pretty decent. That's too bad this particular G-series is lacking QC. I appreciate the honest review so I don't waste my bucks! Thanks for sharing!

I experienced the exact same issue with my copy. I own many Ganzo knives and have never discovered any other models with such garbage hardware. I have never seen a pivot screw strip out so easily. It's like it was made out of lead. Such a bummer on an otherwise very decent inexpensive knife. I purchased mine about a year ago from Amazon for $15.95. I would have gladly paid an extra dollar to get decent hardware. Fortunately I have had no such issue on any of the newer models in the Firebird series.

hi Jake,
I have a couple of questions for you regarding your previous video about reprofiling sharpening stones:
1st) would you recommed using silicon carbide abrasive paper instead of the powder? Abrasive paper seems to be less messy.
2nd) how do you know when a diamond sharpening stone is depleted? Is it an issue to keep sharpening with a depleted stone? Can that cause damages?

Thanks

Reminds me of my Land 9103 a little bit. Cheers Jake

i found a solution how to unscrew the threadlocked pivot :
sink the end with the pivot screw into boiling water for 30 seconds. that softens the threadlocker. if it doesn't work, try one minute.
G10 and the metal can handle the 100C with no issues.

i paid 18 USD. light, snappy - perfect EDC for me. yeah, the T9 threw me off. an older semi-ruined T10 did the job.
edit: i had four (4) so far and all of them had this problem. the one i could disassemble with the T10 had some greyish concrete-like locker on the screw. whatever that was. usually i disassemble and clean all new knives. not with these.
