String isn't needed for many plants now - you can right click on the end with shears and it stops the growth. 🖤

For an even better "smoking chimney" effect; put a normal campfire inside at eye level and one with hay at the very top of the chimney = whatever your houses(chimney) height + 25 blocks, a good 2 storey house is nine blocks tall(without roof) with a 4 block chimney.

This video has convinced me to make a cozy shack in a mountain type biome(with lotsa trees) with a smoking chimney that reaches 38 blocks up! I'll keep a wolf for a pet(tethered to a dog house and a name tag, I'm thinking "Iceberg" or "Snowflake"), a huge pile of wood stacked next to the shack in a triangular formation, an extinguished fire outside with log seats surrounding it...

...and the "Umbella Hive" at the bottom of the mountain(bedrock level), lol. Made complete with an elevator and piston bolt system for entrance/escape, not to mention as many zombies in labs with scientist name tags as I possibly can lure down there, like until the game lags...what a trap.

A Few of them I already do, but there was alot I didn't know. Especially the carpet on powdered snow. That's really useful to know. And the traversing up the mountains with a bucket and leather boots that one I really like. I've stayed off the snowy parts of the mountain because there hard to climb. But that one just made life alot easier.
Taught me a few really useful things there.
