Not a solder ball. Typical materials used for wire bonding are copper and gold.

Hello sir, I am wondering why we have to use High-to-Low level shifter circuit instead of simple voltage divider resistor circuit?
I am assuming it's about safety and reliability but I don't know the technical reason why.
