👋 After 20,000 miles, and nearly 5 years of driving, how is the original MK5 Toyota Supra holding up?! Should you buy the MK5 Supra? Today I review my father in laws Toyota GR Supra after he's hit 20,000 miles! I owned an identical spec 2020 Supra for 2 years and drove mine 10,000 miles, and currently own a manual 2023 Supra with about 1,800 so far. He drives this car a lot during the warm months and I've even been able to put some modifications on it! So after 20k miles is the A90 Supra reliable and worth owning? So this Supra is mainly driven on the highway for more long distance trips, but also driven on the fun back roads! With 20,000 miles the only maintenance needed has been oil changes every 5k miles and a new set of tires at 17k miles. Thats it! The Supra has been perfectly reliable and not costly to keep in good maintenance. I installed an MST intake, Rexpeed carbon fiber wing and mirror caps, and some carbon interior trim pieces. His car also has a full ceramic coating on the paint and stay in immaculate condition. For my own Supra's that I've owned. My 2020 also never gave me an issues and I had 1 il change done on it at 5k miles. My 2023 has also been perfect in the 7 months I've owned it and I've done a ton of mods on my current Supra. Even m y previous Supra I had custom tuned with 450 WHP and 560 WTQ and it was solid! If you are looking for a fun to drive premium sportscar, look no further then a MK5 Toyota Supra! On the used market you can find a nice 2020 for in the mid $40k price range, and you wont regret it! I bought my new 2023 manual Supra for $58k and I'm loving it! Worth every penny and you wont have to worry about issues or costly maintenance on a Supra!

Ive had my 2022 3.0 premium Supra for about 8 months and have put around 11, 000 miles on it so far. I drive it pretty much every day.. for fun and for work commute . Zero issues and I absolutely love this car!! Only thing that is a nuisance is the fact that there is no hatch release button on the exterior of the vehicle . Would be such an easy thing to add and is such a nuisance to have to use key fob or button inside door ( then you shut door and the hatch locks . For me thats my only complaint! Fixed wind buffeting right when I bought it.

I have 40, 000 miles on a 2022 and I've had no issues. Just basic maintenance. I was low key worried that it would have problems due to being a BMW, but I was wrong. This car is worth keeping for a while

Hmmm. If i had to trade in my 2021 3.0, i think id go for a Lexus LC 500. That car looks better and better every time i see it.

i have a 2022, have put on 26k miles on it, i have a 2nd car too but i don't drive it unless there's like a blizzard lol, , the supra is just too fun to drive. 95 percent of the time I drive the supra. So far maintenance wise i've replaced the tires twice, and have done 5 oil changes, haven't really had to do anything else.

17k seems relatively soon to change out the tires. Dad must be tracking or seriously pushing it regularly (burnouts..etc) if they need to be changed that soon. Cheers to him if that's the case. Lol

Would be nice to see a 7 years or even 10 year review to really see how reliable the engine is because 2 years is nothing and no car should go wrong at all in 2 years

Nice looking although the humorous part of me figures it’s the epitome of someone trying to make up for something 😂

Is buying a used Supra 3.0 at 46, 900 with a clean title and regular oil maintenance a good idea because I can’t find any at msrp, one deliver in a different state is selling it 5, 000 over msrp so it would be 70, 000 out the door for a 3.0 premium which in my opinion is way too kuch

I'm assuming the auto feels much quicker than the stick by your reaction??? Always feels quicker when the cars shifts for you!!

I tried fitting into this car but at 6'6" it just wasn't comfortable. I really like the look of it though.

I just bought a 22 Supra. I noticed more exhaust air coming out of the driver side pipe vs passenger tailpipe. Is this normal?

I might plan I buying one soon.

But always curious how much money do you make to justify the payment?

I make like $150k but the monthly payments still seem kind of steep.

I used the cruise in my 2024 for the first time after completing the break-in mileage (1200 miles) during a 40-mile round trip. It never acted as you mentioned (applying the brake aggressively after the vehicle in front moved over to the adjacent lane). Perhaps that feature has been updated at some point since the 2020 model year.
