BlackRapid RS-7 Review

I got my hands on a BlackRapid RS-7 and I really fell in love with this thing as soon as I started to use it. It just makes sense, I can not see shooting without it!!!

I use the BlackRapid Straps, if you use the bumpers to lock the camera in place it will not move off your side. That way you can pick up your kids.

@owendart I could not use the d3s because thats how I was recording the video. But I can tell you i have shot multiple weddings with it now and even used the 70-200 2.8 vr on a d3x with the strap.

I bought one about a month ago, and I'm already planning to buy another. I LOVE this camera strap. It is a bit confusing to put on at first but, you quickly get used to it. A must buy for any photographer, student, amature, pro and beyond.

be careful about the locking mechanism, it undoes itself, you have to keep checking to make sure it is tightened.

@CyberGlam66sic Yes, Ive used it with my d3s and 70-200 2.8 vr2. Its not something you want to just leave unchecked without leaving a hand on it when you walk but it will hold it perfectly fine.

@lorikzzz no no this is a beater d2h that was given to me because it doesnt auto focus anymore but it still shoots!!!

@lorikzzz depends on a few things, i like the sport and the rs 7 is still a great choice.

Just bought the RS-5 and used it on a week-long excursion...Best accessory I've bought for my camera. Absolutely love'd it! It just made carrying the camera so comfortable with an excellent quick draw action.

@patkitlo Yes it does, i have a thinktank retrospective 30 over my other shoulder with 5 other lenses and other things and it balanced so well.

I have my own blackrapid which is based off the RS Sport, thats what I like.

Ive honestly never had this problem, do you have the back bumper in place? I hand the d3s with all my lenses from it without an issue.

@MAN71S lock it in and it really does not get in the way It is much easier on your back than a traditional strap so id go for one. I walked around with a d3s and 70-200 2.8 all day and i felt great!!!!

I still use it every time i am shooting. I use the RS-Sport now.

@timetoparty11 u hold the camera infront of you. I wont walk through a crowd without having my hands on the camera. IT doesn't slide to much even without the brad.

@lyonthelion If someone can unsnap it that that could happen. They make a cover for that snap so no one can unsnap it but in the new RS-Sport there is no longer a snap in the back!!!!
