Wireless Smart home concept using Arduino

This is my final project for the physical computing course (HCDE539) at the University of Washington.

The smart-home can be wirelessly controlled with a smartphone. The concept has security system, lighting system and an emergency alert system built-in.

I used an Arduino and a bunch of sensors to control the home functions. I'm using an IR sensor and a TV remote app on my phone for the wireless communication.

Sensors:

1. Wireless communication with phone: IR Sensor + IR Blaster on phone using a TV remote app (Phone model: Xiaomi Mi4)
2. Door security system: Hall effect (Magnetic sensor)
3. Lighting: light sensor
4. Smart porch and in-home burglar detection system: Pressure sensor
5. Emergency alert system: Zigbee wireless modules + Servo motor
6. Automatic door: Servo motor
