It is hot, hot, hot here in Mexico. I wanted to make a modern, hip, version of a "mumu" to catch the breezes. This pattern is perfect for that! Your pattern drafting instructions are clear and easy to follow. I am just about done drafting the pattern and I will make my first one. Thank you so much for sharing your method. If my dress turns out well I will make many more! Of course, I will add pockets! I can see a lot of possible variations too. Like a dagged hem line, trims, a false chemise front etc. Keep your fingers crossed that my dress turns out well!

I've sewn both by hand and machine since I was a child, but watching someone draft a pattern like you did in this tutorial, leaves me in awe. Great tutorial! (And music, too!)

I love this idea but I wish the pattern making process was easier to understand.

The little cardboard cutouts make it really easy to understand the pattern. Thanks! Great video.

How do you calculate for your hip measurement and the ease needed, and the overlap? Where is the hip line?

Fantastic tutorial/video. You are a natural teacher, thanks so much, I just made my own pattern on freezer paper and I'm so thankful I didn't start cutting lol pretty close though lol. Blessings from BC Canada 🇨🇦👏🙏
