I couldn't forgive someone for 4 years but after watching this i forgave them. That's the power of this man's act.

As a police officer, I had to attend a Muslim family whose 3 year old had run out onto the road and had been hit by a car. Thankfully, the kiddy wasnt injured as the car had been going slow.

When the family came running out, the driver took off, but they got his registration number.

We tracked him down and told him that he had a legal obligation to stop, ESPECIALLY after hitting a child.

His response: I wanted to stop, but they're MUSLIMS! They would've killed me!

When we told him that the family wasn't planning a revenge expedition, he was amazed.

We made him go to them and apologise. They treated him like a long-lost relation and understood his fear.

Of course, we charged him and he was convicted, but he's now firm friends with these people.

As a Muslim father, I cannot afford to be like this man. It is certain that I will take revenge if something happens to my son. This man is an example of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim who was willing to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismail in order to prove his faith in God.
