I don’t know why, but the characters in Luca come across to me as more human than other Pixar characters. Don’t get me wrong! Joe Gardner’s character has a ton of humanity, as does everyone in the movie Coco. And arguably, the movies Soul and Coco have much deeper messages than Luca. However, I don’t quite know what it is, but I feel more emotionally invested with the characters in that movie.
