Maul: I lost my legs
Dooku: I lost my arms
Greivus: I burned
Anakin: Sounds like a checklist

Dooku was also meant to show that a Jedi turning to the dark side of the Force wasn't an uncommon thing, that Anakin's turn wasn't totally unprecedented.

Anakin: “if only I seen the warning signs!”
The warning signs:

If you think about it, Grievous embodies everything that Vader was to the public. A machine, almost a droid, with incredible speed and strength, hunting Jedi, destroying worlds and being a monster while the actual beast is portrayed differently. He also manages to survive every loss until Kenobi shoots his ass

You know...I'd almost say it's like poetry... it rhymes...

Both Grievous and Anakin were beloved war heroes before becoming cyborgs

George really put his all into these lil Easter Eggs. Makes the franchise that much more enjoyable

Imagine vader walking in, the signature imperial march starts playing, and then you hear "cough cough, cough cough cough"

This is my first time hearing anyone mention this. This was pretty awesome to find out, thank you! Makes me appreciate the prequels, and what Lucas was trying to portray even more!

I wonder if Qui-Gon was support foreshadow Luke. They’re both very warm, wise, powerful Jedi with green lightsabers who saw the good in Anakin where others wouldn’t.

Maul And Vader imo share so much similarities. Both were more powerful than kenobi but they let their arrogance get to them . This is why they lost to kenobi .

They also let their desire for vengeance for kenobi drive them mad and resulted in both getting their ass whooped .

One thing I found poetic is how maul lost because he didn’t utilise the high ground and how kenobi had the low ground

And how Vader underestimated the high ground and tried to imitate what kenobi did to maul in Naboo but lost because obi wan didn’t let arrogance take over him

Wow. I never even thought of it like this. So when you think about it, Vader is a combination of all 3 of the prequel villains. That is actually pretty awesome!

Another thing i noticed too which might be insignificant between Dooku and Anakin is that they both had padawans who they viewed as having been betrayed by the Jedi Order. Anakin blamed the order for ahsoka leaving and Dooku blamed it for Qui Gon’s death

Grievous had a severe case of heartburn 💀

i love how none of this was really in the movies, but added in by other media later down the line to make the prequels seem more thought-out

When you got to the legs, hands, and fire. That hit home. Good work mate!

Brother that last one sent chills. How did I never realize that

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Grievous was originally intended to have been Maul with a cybernetic body after the fall, which is literally just Vader.

I never noticed, and that part about everyone's "deaths" happening to Anakin is wild!
