In last question,
Given:- u=72 km, v=36 km, s=10m.
Now, Convert these into m/s
* 72×5/18=20m/s
* 36×5/18=10m/s
Using 3rd Equation of motion:-
=v*square=u*square+2as
= 10*2=20*2+2(a)(10)
= 100=400+20(a)
= 100-400= 20(a)
= -300=20(a)
= a=-300/20
= a= -15m/s

U =72km/hr conv to m/s
72 x 1000/60 x 60= 20m/s

V=36km/hr conv to m/s
36 x 1000/60 x 60= 10m/s

Using the formula
V² = U² + 2as
10²= 20² + 2(a x 10)
100 = 400 + 20a
20a= 100 - 400
a = -300/20
a= -15m/s

The answer is at follows for the last question:

u= 72 km/hr = 20 m/s
v= 36 km/hr = 10 m/s
S= 10 m
a= ?
v^2=u^2+2aS
10^2=20^2+2*a*10
100 = 400+20a
-20a=400-100
-20a=300
a=-300/20
a=-15 m/s^2
As we need to find the Retardation, we need to write the retardation as 15 m/s^2
Do NOT write retardation as -15m/s^2

Using their equation we have,
V²=u²+2as
Given 72 km h-¹ and 36km h‐1 converting to m first
72×5/18=20m/s
And 36×5/18=10m/s
Now we have v = 10 and u =20 and s=10
V²=u²+2as
10²=20²+2×a×10
100=400+2a×10
2a=100-400/10
2a=-300/10
2a=-30
A=-30/2
And we know 2×15=30 so
A=-30/2=-15 m/ s
You can also do this by not changing into m

U= 20 m/s V= 10 m/s
S= 10m

100= 400 + 2(a) (10)
100-400 = 20a
-300 ÷ 20 = a

a= -15 m/s2
