Today I wanted to take you on one of the last full garden tours on the 2019 year. We've been really lucky this year and haven't yet had a frost, which is really unusual for us in our Canadian Garden.

Powdery Mildew Spray
1 gallon of water
1 tsp dish soap
2 tbsp Baking Soda
1 tbsp Olive Oil or other vegetable oil
Mix well and soak down both sides of the effected leaf

Recipe thanks to MIGardener Blog

Hi friends, I wanted to let you know that if you want to see more content from me, I'm over on Instagram and I post there almost daily. This time of year it's mostly gardening content, but I also do Instagram Stories (short little videos) on whatever topic comes to mind. I'd love to have you join me there. You can look me up under Little Mountain Ranch or click the link in the description box above.
Wishing you all a wonderful day.

I mainly follow Californian and other hot climate gardeners here on YouTube, so it's nice to have a colder weather channel to follow and learn from!
Sending love from Ottawa <3

Onions are also handy for first aid. When we had a deep cut my Mom would cut an onion, and peel the thin membrane from between the layers, the wrap that over the cut. She would change it daily, and it always healed very well, without scars

So the hardy kiwi & scarlet runner beans are happy companion plants. What a happy circumstance that you planted them together.

You have a beautiful garden and a wonderful place to raise those beautiful children. I love to hear and see them playing in the back ground.

👍 strawberry blight plant produces leaves that taste like spinach. To get bigger onions cut off their leaves before they flower... They will then regrow leaves and produce a bigger onion. Female asparagus plants make round orange seeds that hang off the leaves.

We grew chickpeas and 4 kinds of drying beans for the first time this year. It has been a huge success shelling the chickpeas can be a family project!!

Your channel gives me such hope, we are likely moving to Montana in the next 6 months and I was so worried about being able to garden (I live in Utah where we have a fairly long warm growing season). Thank you for sharing this with us!

When I got tired of harvesting green beans last year I just let them go to “seed”, we stored them and cooked green beans like dried beans and they were scrumptious!

Aww Chelsea, you a a the true mother of nature. Love your garden and know how much work has gone into the making of your garden. So informative. Unfortunately here in Australia and where I live ! we are wanting rain desperately. All around is so dry and bushfires are a constant threat. The wind has become almost unbearable and temperatures are already soaring and it is only spring. We have our second level water restrictions and the dams are so low. Your videos bring joy and allows me to visualise what a true vege garden is like. Thankyou. Take care and enjoy those beautiful children

You are such an inspiration! I don't know how you do it all! I only have seven and one with special needs and just never seem to have time to tend and harvest on top of keeping my house clean. It's either inside or outside for me. Watching you just shows that there is hope. You are a queen!
