Показать описание
ELRC- Digital Story
Frame 1:
* As second graders, we get to prepare for our first reconciliation, but most of us do not know what to say or do.
Frame 2:
* Before your first reconciliation, you will be given an examination of conscience, which will help guide you in praying with and figuring out how you have sinned.
Frame 3:
* There are two different kinds of sins. Venial sins which hurt our relationship with God and mortal sins completely break our relationship with God
Frame 4:
* After you have gone through your examination of conscience and are ready to go to confession, you can know if the confessional is open by the green light above the confessional
Frame 5:
* As you walk into the confessional, you will see two sides. One side with the screen in which you will not see the priest while confessing
Frame 6:
* And the other side sitting next to the priest where you are facing him face to face
Frame 7:
* Some of us may be feeling nervous but it is important to remember that the priest cannot repeat our sins to anyone and Jesus is waiting to welcome us with open arms
Frame 8:
* You may notice the priest is wearing a stole which represents penance
Frame 9:
* You will begin your confession with the sign of the cross and a simple saying of, “Bless me father for I have sinned, this is the first time I have been to confession.”
Frame 10:
* Then you will tell the priest your sins as he quietly listens
Frame 11:
* Once you are finished confessing your sins, the priest will give you advice on how you can do better and also your penance which is normally a prayer or an act of kindness.
Frame 12:
* Then, you will tell Jesus you are sorry for your sins by reciting an act of contrition.
Frame 13:
* The priest will then say a prayer of absolution and your sins are forgiven
Frame 14:
* Before leaving the confessional, you will end with a sign of the cross.
Frame 15:
* Once leaving the confessional, you can do your penance
Frame 16:
* Jesus is so happy that we get to experience His love and mercy through this sacrament.
Frame 17:
* Just remember, anytime we mess up He is patiently waiting for us to turn back to Him through the sacrament of reconciliation.
