Just went and saw it last night. A fun movie. Campy but it knew what it was going for. Didn’t try to be too serious. Just fun. And the gore was done well too.

Thanksgiving isn't overstuffed with a ton of classics so this surprise is welcome.

I loved this movie. It felt like one of the early 2000s remake that were full of gore and over the top camp.

This movie was fun, a rare thing nowadays. Has a very 90's slasher vibe, with a thematic 80's title. Really great movie.

I can't be the only one that laughed out loud at the guy still trying to get the Waffle machine while dying lol

This movie was a hoot. It's more of a 90s style slasher than the 80s one that was promised with the original Grindhouse trailer, but it's a blast. I saw it opening day, but the theater was empty. I think it would play like gangbusters with a packed house.
Go see THANKSGIVING!

It was a fun slasher, perfect tone, right amount of gore, great cinematic pay offs. I had a blast with this one.

Really loved that Eli went campy and hilarious alongside the gruesome kills. I wouldn’t mind seeing multiple sequels for this too.

Blood Rage (1987) was the best serious Thanksgiving horror film before this came along. I can see good word of mouth carrying it through the Thanksgiving weekend.

This was a fun movie. I love guessing who it was and the jokes that goes along with each kills is hilarious

I like how even tho this is a traditional slasher film, there is a lot that makes it feel modern. It being set in the present day, the use of technology and phones throughout the movie driving the plot, and the humor felt down to earth and not out of touch as most movies do

The word that kept going through my mind when I watched this film is "confidence." Eli Roth knew EXACTLY what he wanted to do, he knew just how to do it, and he did it beautifully.

Weirdly enough, over in the UK it's been quite well advertised in cinemas and quite a few people I speak to have either gone to see it already or are going to see it!
We went Friday night and the cinema was busier than usual which was a welcome surprise for me 🤘

Your review was spot on. My husband is not a horror movie fan but was intrigued by the trailer, so he went with me, and we both really enjoyed it, there was a pretty good size crowd in our theater and based on their reactions they dug it too! We both knew what choppy scene you were talking about right away because we talked about that on the ride home. It will be an annual watch at Thanksgiving for us!

This was a very pleasant surprise, it has memorable kills, reminded me of 90’s slasher, and “John Carver” had some fun Freddy Krueger moments. I’ve been waiting for this movie since 2010, and I did not disappoint, and that is an impressive feat

I WOULD actually consider “Thanksgiving” a slasher masterpiece. It’s layered. There’s a backstory there. There’s character development. The chase scenes are incredible. It’s exciting. Great unique kill scenes and gore. It’s the total package. Eli Roth HAS given us one of the greatest “slasher movies” of all time. Now I’m just hoping we can get a future “Scream” movie from him one day 🤞🏼.

The thing I always appreciate about (Who done it, Slashers) is rewatching the movie and seeing all the small hints to which character it is. Especially in this movies case, as each victim and target did fuck over the killer in some way which I appreciate, it doesn’t just feel like the killer role was forced on a character just because. I just love those kinds of details, it’s one of the reasons the original Scream is so good

Definitely felt like the scream movie we didn't know we needed. Fun as hell and a great watch.
