I wish I hadn't read this book, only so I could experience reading it for the first time again, it is a fantastic novel. How the course of so many of the characters lives change from the impact of one word is incredible. You have made me want to read it again now :)

I loved Atonement, it made me cry. I relate so much to the idea that a decision we make can affect everyone forever... and if it gravely hurts others, our heart and soul may yearn for some possibility of atonement. Atonement was my first Ian McEwan. I've since read 7 of his other novels, but Atonement is to my mind his best. I really enjoy this series! By the way, when are you going to do another period Drama Monday video?
