Dear sir,

This was a fantastic video! But I did spot a few minor mistakes, please correct me if I'm wrong,

The formula for the general inclusion-exclusion principle stated at 3:40 is not correct according to my understanding.. Also isn't it the case that we cannot consider | B1 U B2 U B3 U ... U Bm | rather we must consider | B1 U B2 U U Bm-1 | since if m elements of the codomain don't have a preimage, then f is not a function, let alone being surjective.

n(B1 U B2 U Was explained in wrong manner ....B1 is a different set...B1={exactly one element is missing} B2={exactly 2 elements are missing} and so on....Not like Sir has explained like B1 = { b1 element is missing} and B2= { b2 element is missing }

Sir I have understood everything but unable to understand that why alternate signs i.e+ and - come in the formula of number into functions why cannot we take all of them as + sign and simply add them as we are considering all the possibilities?
