The 4K max remote it quite basic. But with the Fire Tv app on your android phone, you have all the remote, mouse, keyboard functions, as well as more features in one place. Just have the firestick and your phone on the same wifi, and it connects automatically. Enjoy. Good content.

You should have got the Chromecast with google TV. Its often on sale for 40 USD and it has a much better software interface and remote.
