Good video. Very informative. I'm in the process of trying to install an AFR gauge and they recommend using a relay but still need to find a "clean" 12v source. I was recommended one of the wires on the plug for the coil and I want to test it for "keyed on" only voltage. Thanks!

i would now be a much wiser old timer..You make it so simple why oh why cant folk just explain things
like you do. I cant thank you enough for your vids please please keep going if there is any other field
you are conversant with just put it on here because i cant tell you how good it makes me feel knowledge is
everything the times i have paid a lot of money for some robbing b..stard to come and charge me a fortune
just to tell me which wire was causing all the problems and sometimes did not even do that thanks again..

Is there any other tool to use other than a piecing probe? Something that wont damage the wire?

If you want to measure a generator voltage out put but don't know if it's AC or DC what do you set your meter to?

Help, while setting up a dc motor thru a computer power supply I could not get to run only bump then shut off. When I put a multi meter in line between motor and power to check amp draw it works great. Can you tell me why?

hay i love to check for power at the ecu im just not sure where to set the multimeter
Connector B48, pins 2 & 13 bring power to the ECU

car sit for winter in garage, wont crank, wont start no light in dash only light i can get to work is parking light,
battery is fine starter is been bench test working.
if i turn the key on i dont even hear the bee bee sound,

i just wanna make sure how to check correctly and not fry the ecu if its good.

im probably going to find the solution in your next video but just in case.

Nice vid thanks. i need to check voltage for a head light, so does negative attach to battery and then the positive probe to the headlight loom? will there be a reading? should the car be on?
