When confronting someone I have trouble forming words/ideas, that already makes sense to me but not the outside world. so basically, I have to sit and think about wording, my possible, speech so it can make sense to people when I tell them.

There's also times if someone give me words that's instructing me to do something, on spot and/or a long amount of words, I have to repeatedly restate what they said to me, word for word, until I comprehend what they said inorder to do the task given. This mostly happens when I feel under pressure or haven't focused at least 60% my attention on them. I can't imagine learning another language.

I also have trouble remembering/memorizing things such as new names or any new word that requires me to use in my verbal speech.

It was so bad that at some point it took me a whole school year to know MOST of my classmates name and that was during the time we all shared the same class. (Currently 16 btw)

If you haven't figured it out by now, This issue does greatly effect my life especially me being in high school. I didn't have an extrovert speech or the looks to be popular but at least I finally transfered to an online school.

The thing is, is my speech problem enough to say I have dyslexia? I can't imagine seeking professional help because my parents can't afford it and it's not like they take anything mental health related seriously.

Also what happens if I seek professional help? Will they just diagnose me and that's it or will they somehow help me overcome dyslexia?

Being somebody who tested into the 99 percentile of dyslexic's back in the 90's, I dealt with a of speech issues. For example; I could not differentiate between the words "tomato", "potato", and "tornado" as a kid. Got some amazing help and am now I'm a college educated member of society!

I have been in speech therapy for most of my younger life (always mumbling, and just not properly saying a lot of words, including easy words) I thought hey it might be because I have deslysixa (<—-yah not going to struggle and figure out how to spell that) because I still have problems with a lot of phonic words. But that might just be because I was born in a different country or have some kind of toungue to brain issue.

But immigrating and learning a new language will bring up these issues all over again. Dyslexia is a beast.
