Just a quick video explaining to those who don't know how to unlock everything there is to offer in Mario Kart 8. I've been asked by a lot of people questions on how to unlock stuff so being able to link this short video that explains it will make it much easier for me. A lot of other people are asking for what are the best vehicle/character combinations so I might do a video explaining what's best for what, not quite sure yet though, we'll see.

Wait so 50cc and 100cc AUTOMATICALY give you a 3 star ranking after you finish 150cc. WOW now it was a dumb move on my part for doing it in order. Thanks for the tip troy.

I like it, because it's random, and it doesn't take ages to just get what you want. the fact that your kart and character are no longer insanely important helps too... I really like this game, because you don't always go for the fastest, you do what you're comfortable with, and that is much more effective that just speed, it seems :)

I like the unlocking of the kart parts, but I think unlocking characters is way too easy because the first night of playing I only needed like 2 more characters...

Yes, I'm too poor to buy a switch and invest in 60$ games so I use the Wii U as an alternative to buy slightly watered down but much cheaper versions of games I want from the switch
Is there something so wrong with that?

AT least unlocking the gold parts is easier than in Mario KArt 7

I prefer the unlocking system in Mario Kart Wii, because each character's unlocking criteria was unique, and I didn't have to wait forever to get my favorite.

I like this system because a lot of the parts do the same thing so I can have easy replacements while I work to get what I want. I'm just happy the Cyber Slick wheels were one of the first things I unlocked :P

I liked having a criteria to unlock things. Coins work, but I think you should unlock both characters and kart parts via Time Trials and GP's just like in Wii.

i liked in mario kart 7 when you beat someone you street passed, if they used a piece in their kart that you didn't have you could unlock it.

I believe now if you unlock a Mii suit with an amiibo, you immediately get access to the Miis

I don't really care about the golden car parts, but I'm glad the characters are easy to unlock.

I like this unlocking system. I find it much easier than Mario Kart Wii or Mario Kart 7's unlocking system... I mean... Just complete cups to unlock a random character... Collect coins to unlock new vehicle parts! So easy!
