Could THIS Be The BEST Cookout Side Dish EVER?

Cookout season is upon us and it's only right we have the important discussions... could Cowboy Beans be a top side dish? IMO it's easily one of the best options at any event and if you try this recipe, I think you will agree.

1lb Ground Beef
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 jalapeno
1 onion
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup bbq sauce
2 tbsps yellow mustard
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1-2 tsps chicken bouillon
4-5 slices thick cut bacon
1 tbsp hot sauce
2 tsps worcestershire sauce
34 oz buschs baked beans
16 oz black beans
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp garlic
green onion
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika

Baked beans(w/smoked beef kielbasa sausage and ground beef) potato salad, tuna Macaroni salad are my 3 MUST HAVES for my cookouts. I have to put some aside for our house cuz they are ALWAYS the first to go. There will be meat left over, but NEVER any sides (giving myself a pat on the back 😂😂)

I make something similar but never tried the peppers and jalapeno. They will go in next time for sure. I use ground pork sausage as well along with the bacon and ground beef.

This is how we do our baked beans here in Birmingham.. only cooking the meat then mixing everything together and baking in the oven

Straight BANGER right here / CAN'T MISS! Will be making on a smoker VERY soon! I may add a little chipotle/adobo in mine. You could also substitute the ground beef for some ground chorizo (probably would need to drain some fat though or you could skip the bacon).

Honestly, I think this would be really nice as dip for tortilla chips or some bread. I haven't made this yet, but I know I would probably go no sugar just from experience. Ketchup and veggies would already sweeten it a lot.
