I am using generatepress for years. The pro version + generateblocks pro. It is great but there IS a learning curve and it is not really for beginners specially if you need lot of customizations. I really love this theme and the team behind.

As Adam mentioned Neve performs very well, Neve had a lower number of requests than most when we tested. How did LCP's compare? Your GTMetrix page shows 1.4s for one of the themes.

@IdeaSpot, Thank you for your lessons, Alex! The fastest Theme is Greenshift. But it's a Block Theme - that is a problem for newbies. May I ask you to record a video on how to use FSE with the Greenshift Theme? FSE is an absolutely incomprehensible and confusing skill for beginners. You will receive thanks from hundreds or even thousands of newbies. The Greenship theme and plugin is gaining popularity, but no one knows how to use FSE with GS. (OR you can use some other Theme with the simmilar structure. They say not every Block Themes behaves the same way with FSE)

I did download a course from udemy over 60 hours of videos plus material but I stopped because I needed a website right away. I ended up using a template from envato and the pro version of elementor and elementskit.

Hi. Great video. I'm new to Wordpress and like most Newbies I'm sure, I feel pretty lost ... trying to first learn silly things like basic ... but trying to find something simple, free, reliable, reasonably customizable and good for Woocommerce. Also when I use Gtmetrix it will show my page 70 and then if I run a minute later it shows 95? Most of the time it's shows 95-97 but sometime lower like 70.. how come? Glitch?

Hey folks, I'm curious. Is there a way to isolate out only the CSS and JS that's needed for a page from a theme CSS and JS file that has a whole bunch of code that's not needed for 1 particular page layout? I'm adapting 1 page from a theme and I'm thinking I don't need all of the classes in the themes combined CSS and JS file to render the optimized landing page. Perf matters does not isolate out the unnecessary classes and using developer mode to identify and list them, then go thru it all and copy them out to a new CSS file by hand send to be a daunting task.

Have you ever considered using CloudflarD tunnels to expose your websites with out opening any ports on your VPS. I have it on my OCI and it works well. Docker Portainer and all services going though Cloudflare Tunnels. :-)
