James Walker Tests One of his Favourite Synths | PPG Wave 2.3

Our resident synthesizer tech James Walker runs us through some sounds on the PPG Wave 2.3

He mentioned in our recent "meet the team" video that the Wave 2.2 and 2 are among some of his favourite synthesizers, so we thought it only right to let him loose on the Wave 2.3 that we currently have available on our site.

James broke in our new testing station with this expansive demo, showing off some of the PPG's impressive arsenal of presets and functions.

The Wave 2.3 (featured) has enhanced sample-playback capabilities. The sampler is pretty full-featured for its time and includes upgraded 12-bit digital waveforms, Fourier analysis and linear playback of samples. The 2.3 model also features 8-parts multitimbrality and MIDI implementation. The PPG Waves are known to create excellent pads, brass and bass sounds.
