why does america love the cosec, sec, cotan and so on, is it similar in other nations maths programms? because in sweden we never ever use them, they feel somewhat superfluous.

Guys can u help me .. i have an app that check my answers in calculus but it says that the integral of cot^5 xdx = -1/4 cot^4 x-cot^2 x+ ln|sinx| + C .. is that the same?

why do you have to turn cosine into 1-sin^2 in the beginning, I don't really understand, and when do you know you have to turn that into 1-sin^2?

As a general remark of your integration videos, i find it a bit misleading that you're using the integral symbols without bounds to indicate the antiderivative, because it should be for instance the integral from one to t right? Doing that you're completely shadowing the fact that you need to change the bounds of the integral when doing a u substitution, although you're doing it when reverting from u to X at the end. But the videos are very clear and i guess that's what is important from a practical point of view

Yo, I had no idea this was college maths. I am 16 years old and I could do most of the integration questions, cut with everything else I thought you Americans were just super smart.
