On Thursday, October 18, 2018, historic educator Karma King and her daughter Kendra demonstrated traditional "open hearth" cooking techniques in the reconstructed kitchen at the circa-1796 Blount Mansion in Knoxville, TN.

High school students in the museum's Blount Scholars program enjoyed making and tasting the historical food.
