Don’t know about the rest of the community but I love these “process” videos. We get to see the thought process, the scrapped ideas, the tweaks, the mistakes. Let’s do more of that when this project is done.

I have an idea for the case:
How about you draw the city in which the cards characters live, you can do a different landscape on each side of the box. (Castle, workers in fields, market, etc...)

Peasant pips idea:
It would be fun for the peasants in each suit to reflect the personalities of their lieges. Something like:
Hearts - Suitors/courtship
Clubs - Soldiers
Diamonds - Bards/minstrels/storytellers
Spades - Wizards/mages

As a web/graphic designer, I'm loving the progress of this deck, but what I love more is you showing the honest process and creative struggle we designers go through everyday. You're right, there's too many Youtuber's out there that just edit all of their failures out and make it look easy. Final designs are nearly always the result of a multitude of changes, second guesses, and 50 files named something like _final_final_final_v2. Good luck on the rest of the box, can't wait to see the end result!

That last tuck case design and sleeve is fire 🔥As a patron I'm so happy to have been able to see the early versions on discord and be able to chime in and interact with you during this process. This project is really fun man and you are killing it. And yes I'll be buying multiple decks - some to play with and some to collect. Can't wait!

Yo, be careful with the colors on the tuck case sitting right on the edge where the folds will be. The folds must be extremely precise to get that right. Also, maybe try having some elements wrap around the case like the leaves on Chris’ deck. That will give more dimension and flow to the case when its folded. Remember you won’t see it flat when the product is finished.

Shout out to Art Ibby for making those 3d renders for me just out of the goodness of his heart!
I sent him the files just a few hours before I uploaded the video and was like "Broooo how fast can you make this happen?!"
He knocked it out super quick!
Go give him a follow on instagram. Such a talented young creator!

puuuh… maaaan… this turned out sick… nothing to change on that, except the navy blue instead black. ;-) and the backside please just the navy blue. looks more classic. boom.

i absolutely love the third design but i think there is still something missing (in all of them)
i think that you maybe should keep the case design on hold until you finish the entire deck, then you will have a more complete view on the “inside product” and come up with new ideias when you return to the case

Packaging designer here: when I get stuck I always print it out and fold it up, so I can hold it in my hand. It helps understand the reality of the design, where as only seeing it on a screen can be deceptive.

Had me up until you said "Ace of Spade"

Now all I can hear is an electric guitar.

I love the navy monochromatic back. Clean and simple!

I feel like you could create some really cool playing card style prints with these designs too!!! I would 100% have a set of giant playing cards as prints up on my wall, esp with the incredible art you've created on them!! 🤩

Hey Ten, loving the cards so far and all the work you put in to them. I do have a suggestion as a poker player who loves to play home games with friends, having two separate decks makes the game so much more time efficient as one deck is pre shuffled for the next hand. If you could make the backs of the cards two distinct colors (for example red and blue like bicycle does for their poker sets) it would help for the playability. I would totally buy a two deck set as I’m sure many others would too. I’m not too sure about the logistics but if isn’t too much work I think it would be a great tier option if you plan on selling on Kickstarter.

I reallyy like how in the first tuck case design the mouth kinda shows through a little slit, it feels mysterious and exciting. Like it is daring me to open the deck and find out what’s inside. Maybe that could be a sleeve? It does feel too crowded tho. But i love where it is going!

Last design wrapped this whole experience for me. It looks like a polished mood board of your journey to bring this deck together. I love the color dots showing the palette. The slide out sleeve to really focus in on the art! I am excited to get this deck as an art piece.

really love that last tuck case and sleeve design. also for the back of the cards i like both the cool colours and the monochromatic versions, not a fan of the more colourful one. i like that the other two are more traditional.
