can I just say, Tom, that instead of a component drop every episode, I'd much prefer a "reverse" unboxing, like what you have done for the intro of this video. It's so much calmer and better at demonstrating how things fit in the package!

This looks amazing. If they did a designer's edition for Ticket to Ride (other than the 10 yr anniversary) that had all the maps in it I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Nice comparison. For me, a deluxe version of a game is the regular one with card sleeves :P I would never be able to justify something like this to myself, but for someone who does want it, nice that it is available.

AWESOME to see on display, looks absolutely horrible to lug around, so I think agree with Tom. Of course, anyone who might want this version will know whether they want it already, and only needs to see it unboxed to form their own verdict. I think that's why he left the “verdict” to the little tyke. :)

Personally, I think the regular game is great, with some of the highest quality I've seen for a largely cardboard game. But I really like the idea of having a separate box for each race. I might attempt to make a mini version of those boxes for the regular game if I could figure out where to find tiny boxes of the right size.

I've never actually tried Small World, but this is an amazing collector's edition. Only one I've heard of that surpasses it is probably War of the Ring: Collector's Edition (though once again, I've never actually played War of the Ring).

Smallworld is not my game but man... if they had something like this for Kemet or especially Cyclades... I think I'd consider that buy! :)

Not sure if there is any game that I would pay that much for a deluxe version, but Small World is definitely not it.  Looks great and I'm sure it enhances the play.

Like anything else in life, it is a matter or personal taste.  If SW is your grail game, go for it!
