Peter also hired that hawk to fly overhead and wail on cue when Lois knocked over the grocery store set.

Peter isn’t a s stupid as he lets on. Dude is actually pretty crafty and an engineer in a sense. They look at the Peter Vehicles, even though they crashed in Joes Yard (“OH MY DO YOU AFFORD THESE THINGS”) with money Fox gives him for shenanigans. Dude has created some jaw dropping stuff. For example this grocery store. The damn cardboard cut out was alive for a few seconds now that’s engineering and with the detail he put into it all.

She wasn’t actually talking to the cardboard. When people want cheap produce, they hallucinate up a conversation where an employee told them it was cheap. Seen it a million times.

What really impressed about Peters genius intelligence is how he managed to make a cardboard cutout move and talk like a real living human being.

People say Family Guy can't make smart jokes, but this one was funny on a lot of levels. Like, the absurdity of the whole situation is on another level, especially the fact it took until that moment for her to realize it was fake.

It wasn't the fact it was in the middle of the desert, or that she couldn't have physically gotten to the location she was in the store, or the lack of outer facilities like parking or roads that tipped her off, it was everything falling over.

For Modern-Family Guy; That was pretty funny
