Great video! I just completed hyrox houston and I did a 1000 meter ski erg at 4:33. I'm trying to get faster. I set the damper on 6 but I think I would do better at 7/8. Your video was really great. I'll try to improve with your tips

Really interesting video, thank you.

I've seen some of the crossfit guys using a butterfly technique, is this more efficient? Or are they doing it to stop the shoulders blowing out?

I love this machine but, I now workout at home. Is there a copy cat movement that would do the same workout as this machine? Or an inexpensive home version of this machine? I just started in CrossFit and love your videos.

Great tips. I was definitely rushing the return and also locking my elbows (triceps were toast after a few minutes). Going to try these tips today.

Elbow tip was a really good one! Going to concentrate on that one. I think naturally we extend that out.

Also going to work on longer workouts so will slow the recovery back to the top.

Thanks for these.

You may be producing great numbers on the PM5, but please realize that what you’re doing would be considered poor ski technique. Yes, nordic ski technique, which is what this machine was designed and built to train. Please check out some videos of great classic skier such as ivo Niskanen and Johannes Klaebo to see what that is. Maybe get out on the snow or roller skis to see what really works. Nobody on skis would reach up so high with the poles before the plant, for example. I’m guessing people in search of high numbers on the rowing machine who never actually row make the same kinds of technique errors.
