Psyche may be the core of the "exploded planet", which largely forms the astroid belt.  It may have been the core of a minor gas giant which orbited between mars and Jupiter.  If you could do a simulation where a "neptunian" size planet between Mars and Jupiter exploded, and a couple of billion years later?

16 Psyche, is what remains of Theia after its collision with earth.
I know its unlikely, but still...

If I may change the subject. I've always wondered how much mass the asteroid belt, Kuiper belt and Oort cloud make up. Could their combined mass be enough to make a new planet? Perhaps their combined mass could even be as much as Jupiter or more? Would be interesting enough for a video?

Why does Earth or really asteroid have a Roche limit if it is a solid core of nickel-iron? If it was a rubble pile or Stoney asteroid I could understand it being tore apart having a Roche limit. But unless it has fault lines it shouldn't.
